CrayonBeats--MTV IGGY!
YAY! I'm so glad MTV found a new way to bring music from Asia to the masses! After the premature death of MTVK I thought all hope was lost. I'm VERY happy that they've come up with MTV Iggy!!! Not only can you keep up with Korean stuffs, but also Desi stars and Chinese stars as well! All they need to add is Japan, and I'll explode. (yeah, Japan has it's own MTV site/channel, but it's all in Japanese (duh) and my Japanese isn't that great. lol )
I wonder if any stations in the US have picked it up yet....

Neon-colored sex
It's been awhile since I've posted anything. Sorry! Anyway, let me make a mini comeback by posting Flying Lotus' "Parisian Goldfish" video.
WHOA, right? Hahaha. I did NOT see that coming when I watched it for the first time. Gotta love FlyLo.

CrayonBeats--Emi Maria

So, if you don't know I absolutely adore Emi Maria's music. It's soulful and at the same time pop. She's fairly new to the lime light, but definitely not a newbie. She's been doing her thing for a couple of years now and finally, yes FINALLY she's getting more attention from the entertainment powers that be.
With that said, I want everyone to know that her album "A Ballad of My Own" will be released on November 5th and she's been making the rounds doing promotions. I was blessed by Monolithic who allowed me to listen to the sampler live she did for iTunes and if you like you can read my review. Basically I loved it, and I can't wait till her album drops.
Forever in search of news, I've recently come across the PV for her song 愛と夢のあいだで (Between Love and Dreams) and even tho it's very simple like her debut video I gotta~ Summer Kiss~ it does her more justice. She's gorgeous in the video and it really fits the mood of the song, unlike IGSK.
Here's the new PV for you to check out, as well as IGSK:

Honestly, I haven't had the time to keep up with all the politics this time around. I've been super busy with school ending (finished that), my respiratory therapist exams (2 more on Saturday), and life in general. I'm sorry, guys. I can't even talk politics with anyone, because I've been so out of the loop. Blah. However, I've looked up some key points in where Obama & McCain stand on certain topics. Does that even count? Probably not, because I did that a while back. I haven't watched the debates, I don't know who I'm really rooting for, there are things I don't like about each person (isn't there always?), but... I am registered. Haha, that counts for something positive. I know this is my future and I should be following this more, but I've been too occupied for all of that. Sucks. I don't even know if I have the "right" to vote. I know I have the right to vote... but you know what I mean. Someone told me that I shouldn't vote due to me not following everything and that I am not tapped in to each side enough to give a good enough / well-thought out vote. So, I dunno. ;| If I research more (videos on youtube, articles, websites, etc), then we'll see what I do when the day comes around. Blah, blah, blah. Let me shut up now...

CRAYONBEATS: JUJU IN NYC

So as you all know, Monolithic often introduces me to artists that have some real talent. One lady he shoved my way is JUJU. She's a singer from Japan who's vocals are really cool and relaxing. Very smooth.
So after becoming fast addicted to her music, I was really delighted to see that she'd be performing in NYC this month.
I think I may go check her out. I'd love to hear her live and besides. I need something to do. =P
If you're in NYC and you want to hear some music that's not being overplayed on radio stations, then I suggest you come. You never know, you may end up being a Japanese music convert. hehe!
